Joe Richardson
Clinical Social Worker
I’m Joe Richardson, and I believe therapy works best when it feels genuine, collaborative, and grounded in real life. After serving over nine years in the military, I developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges that come with service, transition, identity, stress, anxiety, depression, and loss. I specialize in working with military members, veterans, teens, and individuals navigating major life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, and emotional challenges. My approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), helping clients build practical tools while also creating space for growth, resilience, and healing.
Outside of the therapy office, I am passionate about the outdoors and often incorporate aspects of nature-based therapy into my work. I believe there is something powerful about reconnecting with yourself through movement, nature, and meaningful experiences. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, grief, relationship changes, identity shifts, or simply feeling stuck, I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel understood and empowered. My goal is to help clients move forward with greater confidence, purpose, and connection in their lives.
