About Tara
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Weber State University and my Master of Social Work from Utah State University in 2023. My background includes working with women and children affected by domestic violence, individuals with chronic mental illness, and those struggling with addiction. I’ve spent over twelve years with the Department of Child and Family Services, including roles in Family Drug Court and Child Protective Services. I’m trained in ART, HeartMath, CBT, Solution-Focused, and Person-Centered therapies, and I take a strengths-based, client-centered approach to healing. I finalizing my certification as a Certified Sex Addition Therapist (CSAT).
I enjoy working with families, couples, adolescents, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I believe therapy is a space for growth, connection, and navigating life’s challenges with support. Outside of work, I stay grounded through mindfulness, time with my family and pets, cooking, and cheering on my favorite sports teams, especially during baseball season with the Ogden Raptors. My goal is to walk alongside clients as they build the skills and confidence to move forward with clarity and resilience.
